Flashermac
<< The root problem is Hamilton seemed to have failed to temper his tires properly and they fell apart. >> It was noticeable that he was almost the only driver not to cool down his tyres by driving on the wet side of the track when he could have. Still, I like a good conspiracy theory!
Neo
Controversy again erupts around Hamlilton: 1. There are calls for Hamilton to be penalized for violating the rule that says to get out of the car and to safety quickly. Yet over a minute later he was still in the car hand gesturing marshals to give him a push. Ok, as biased as I may be I think this accusation is over the top since the whole time marshalls were trying to push him and no one appeared to order him out. Any driver would have done the same under the circumstances. 2. Ron Dennis's own words blew wide open the conspiracy the team is favoring Hamilton: We weren't racing Kimi, we were racing Fernando. Kimi winning and Lewis coming second was adequate. It just didn't quite work out that way. 3. Alonso has claimed the pace of his car was off and possible sabotage. When asking alonso about the final race (humor): Photo There's no way Alonso is going to be at McLaren next year!
Flashermac
Sir Jackie Stewart is considering taking legal action against Max Mosley over remarks the FIA president made at a lunch with the British media last month. Following the â??spygateâ?? verdict, Stewart was vocal in his criticism of both the conduct of the case and the scale of the $100 million fine handed to McLaren by the FIAâ??s World Motor Sport Council. Mosley responded by telling journalists that Stewartâ??s pronouncements were not taken seriously by anyone in Formula except some sponsors, and that the drivers saw him as â??a figure of funâ?Â. He also mocked the Scotâ??s distinctive attire and allegedly labelled him a â??certified halfwitâ?Â. The comments were condemned by 1996 world champion Damon Hill, who wrote to last weekâ??s Autosport magazine accusing Mosley of â??a gross insultâ? and calling on him to make a public apology. Mentors
McLaren promise driver equality in Brazil Ahead of next weekendâ??s title showdown in Brazil, McLaren have released a statement reinforcing the teamâ??s commitment to driver equality. Lewis Hamilton is leading the driversâ?? championship, but both team mate Fernando Alonso and Ferrariâ??s Kimi Raikkonen could yet claim the crown. In the statement, the British team state that they want to make it â??absolutely clearâ?? that their policy of treating Alonso and Hamilton equally - in terms of car, engine, tactics and use of resources - will continue at the Interlagos race. http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2007/10/6968.html
