MooNoi
In fact until now I haven't heard any kind of music played in a bar that I do not like.Sometimes I ask the DJ to play Tata Young or some Bollywood number, if they happen to have one. Do you dance Indian-style too? As in "screw the light bulb, pat the dog?" Very cool way to dance!
Encore
Funny nobody mentioned molam. It is the one thing that is guaranteed to wake up a bunch of shufflers into a wild lot of dancers, with the serving girls joining in on the floor. I personally love it, and would have in any day over some of that technocrap with booming base and no melody or words.
waerth
The girls do get more active yes if Morlam or basically any Thai music is played. Would love some Modern Dog in the bars. Waerth
MooNoi
Yeah - great hearing a Thai song now-and-then. But so many bars / gogos won't play them. "Farang no like." Silly logic.
bust
Not really. A drunk punter will always know the words to Hotel California but I doubt they know the words to "Lam Tang Way"
Partyguy
<< Silly logic. >>> Molam thrown into the mix gives a real sense of being in Thailand, especially if its someones first visit.. Just another example of bar owners in LOS "not getting it"..

Just another example of bar owners in LOS "not getting it".. Not really I think local music is the last thing guys have on their mind especially as a first time visitor. Something familiar will give them a sense of comfortability is some cases. Not sure how a girl would go dancing to somethig like that while hanging onto a pole.
