Rex7777
Does anyone know if the US Embassy is reachable by the Skytrain? I have some business there next week, but would just as soon stay around lower Sukhumvit. Or would it be a simple matter to just take a cab ride? Bangkoktraveler
I think you get off at the Chit Lom station. Motorbike taxis are on the south exit who will take you to the embassy. If you want, you can walk. Embassy is on the left.
Hugh_Hoy
If you're staying in lower Sukhumvit, just take a cab. 5-20 minutes depending on the traffic and the route. HH
Rex7777
Thanks guys. Sounds like a cab is the way to go. Now all I have to do is make a hotel reservation. Rex

Bangkoktraveler
May I ask you why?
magician
Be warned that generally, buddha is the biggest jackass on this board. That said, you want to go to the AMEMB early, and clear your schedule for the rest of the day. The staff there are maddeningly inconsistent. Sometimes, they are simply stellar. Other times....they are positively Kaufka-esque. As others have said, you can take the BTS. You can also take the underground, to Lumpini station. From there, you walk across the street from the Night Plaza, and grab a taxi or a moto down Wireless to American Citizen Services, which is across the street from the actual Embassy. Enjoy. dddave
Make sure to take some ID besides your passport if you have a mobile. They require mobiles to be left at the security station and demand an ID to keep with it.
