cavanami
Yes. Doctors "practice" medicine. The docs can not be 100% about many things, just an educated guess. Will power can do wonders. Good on you!!!
Flashermac
Don't recognise anyone in those pics. Josh is black and fairly dark.
Mentors
There was a man in October of 2003 that was sent home by his Dr. to die within the next twelve months. He was told to take it easy, sit back and power lounge. Today that man is sitting at the computer making THIS post.
Pat_from_Jersey
Perhaps someone should start a collection fund in Josh' behalf?
..
Cavi, good news about Josh, tho' I hope he does not become an alert but immobile vegetable. He was an active guy and I know that would just be awful for him. Here's a pix of Josh & family from a couple of years back. Flash, ya, he's from Oakland, CA. Pat, I am sure there are funds being collected, either on the Square and/or at JUSMAG - I'll post details when I hear of it. Josh has a lot of friends and he or his family will not want for anything. Fortunately, he has good health insurance. Cheers, SD
..
Latest update from a Mehkong Kurt email: "Update on Josh: Got a phone call from [X] this morning who had just talked on the phone with Josh's wife. She told the guy Josh is now talking -- in his usual mumble, anyway! ;-) -- and, more importantly, that the medicos are now saying he could be released as early as about the end of this month." Sounds great! I'm glad the docs were wrong and that Josh is strong. Cheers, SD
BKKanalist
SD- Thanks for the picture. Glad to know who we are talking about. Will visit or send a card or do something........ I think that he did start most of the Cajun menu at Bourbon Street that they still serve today.
Flashermac
His Cowboy restaurant was J's Soul Food. If I remember right, he and a partner before that were at another location on Sukhumwit. But the owner made them move out because a car dealership wanted the site. That was back in the mid '70s.
Old Hippie
Glad to hear he is doing well/better. I remember him from Silver Dollar and Texas Lone staar. Didn't know he had owned a restaurant.
