Old Hippie
I have not been asked for an onward ticket in BKK in ages...Japan or HKG either. Used to be the case, but seems they don't bother anymore...they occasionally do want to see a boarding pass to verify what flight I arrived on. samak
why not just take a old confirmation for a electronic ticket (ticket outboud from Bangkok), change the dates (to any date within 30 days after your intended arrival date in Bangkok) and print it out. then you have something to show in case you are asked! bjon045
They won't ask you at the airport but they will ask you 100% of the time for overland border crossings. This is a new rule since late June 2007. All the visa companies now charge a 200 baht (or so) surcharge if you don't have a ticket out of thailand, Jacks Golf etc. The best thing you can do is as Samak has mentioned above is to get a copy of an old electronic ticket and change the dates. They are none the wiser. Note: This only applies to visa-free entries at overland crossings, if you have a tourist visa or apply for a VoA then they won't check as far as I can tell. samak
no, this looks like a normal paper ticket. i get nowadays for most of the flights just a confirmation from my travel agency in MS word with all datas of electronic ticket. that looks pretty official!
