Bangkoktraveler
I have a store in the USA and one of the things I sell are stones. Recently, my wife has been wanting a decent quantity of stones to take to the temple. It seems one of the monks likes my stones. He puts magicinto the stones and what he does with them after that, I do not know.

bust
I really like Lapis. I bought some from an Indian guy in one of the stone shops down near the Chao Praya just up from Robinsons. I gave them to a guy back here who is a jeweller and is carving a chess set out of them.

Flashermac
Try the amulet market near the Grand Palace for semi-precious stones - cat's eye, cave onyx etc. I've always liked the tektites, which look alien. Lots of stuff from China.
