Bangkoktraveler
I have seen the tektites at the market but up on New Road, one shop has the 2 largest tektites in the world. Was in his shop one day and asked him about them. He went to the back of the shop, opened his safe and took them out for me to see.
Flashermac
The tektites sold here are all from China. Quite inexpensive and a fascinating variety of shapes and sizes. You also see sliced and polished sections of stalactites and stalagmites for sale. Somebody in China must be trashing a lot of caves.
Flashermac
p.s. I remember a backpacker gal getting excited one day at how inexpensive and plentiful sandalwood was in the amulet market. She bought kilos of it to take home. I picked some up and sniffed it. It wasn't sandalwood. It was red cedar!

Khun_Kong
Same as SD. I thought it would be a tale of woe involving some pussy-whipped BKK Traveler who is missing his cajones. I suppose that's another story.
