OCgringo
it landed in OZ today for its first commercial flight, Does it have the range to fly from the USA to Sin direct ? OC
cavanami
It's a gator freighter...just pack them and stack them...wait until it gets stuck on the runway with its 985 passengers sweating it out! If the airfare is cheaper because of the surplus of passengers, that is one thing, but if the airline is just sucking in more $$$ and the passengers have to contend with the delays boarding, delays getting baggage, delays at Immigration, then WTF?? OCgringo
is there that much air trafic between Singapore and Sydney for this plane to fly every day ? To me that would be the problem how many seats need to be filled to break even ? and everyday for 20 years ! OC

rchapstick
it landed in OZ today for its first commercial flight, Does it have the range to fly from the USA to Sin direct ? OC Listed range is 8000 nautical miles, but that will vary with the weight of the plane (driven by seat weights, cargo allocation, etc). Given the fancy F and C seats, I suspect that the SQ version would be something less than 8000. LAX to SIN is 8600nm, so that would be too far for the WhaleJet. The_Munchmaster
...., but if the airline is just sucking in more $$$ and the passengers have to contend with the delays boarding, delays getting baggage, delays at Immigration, then WTF?? You have no knowledge of any of this (neither does anyone else for that matter) so why don't you just wait until it's been in service for a while and there is some feedback before you get so negative?
