Mentors
great to see that South Thailand votes for the Democrat Party, getting about 90% the PPP gets only 1 seat

Neo
The religious faith of their candidate might have just a little to do with that. One can only wonder if they nominated a Buddhist if they would have done better overall in a country well over 90% Buddhist. Latest news is a landslide victory for PPP. The Thai's I have been speaking to are elated.
Flashermac
Samak made already an Interview on CNN one hour ago. Did he tell any reporters to get f*cked?
khunsanuk
Hi, "The Thai's I have been speaking to are elated." Not in my house. My wife is pissed off. Sanuk!
Gadfly
Thaksin is continuing to play his "divide and conquer" games. That is what he will be remembered for more than anything in Thai history. Exactly right. So now Samak will be the new PM We'll have an interesting year ahead of us. "Did he tell any reporters to get f*cked?" If he hasn't done it yet, he will soon.
samak
not sure! if the Democrats, Chart Thai, Phua Phaendin and 1-2 of the 3 smaller ones form a coalition, they would exceed PPP. PPP seems to get at the moment 230 out of 480 seats
Mentors
will be interesting to see what the Junta will do with the victory of this horrible PPP Party.
OCgringo
if PPP needs only 10 extra votes it seems pretty easy they can "buy" that many new friends, But if they are stupid enough to start talking about bringing back Taskin , the Junta will stay in "business" which is bad for Thailand, its pretty much a lose-lose game for Thailand and does not make LOS a good place for International investments I hope it stays calm.....
