Iluvlos
Staying at the Landmark next week. Heard there is a pharmacy open 24 hours,,,,plus the one in Foodmart on Soi 5...... I guess Nana Plaza near Landmark would be most convenient.....(can't walk too far,,,,bad leg). Something at least open till 2am and specific directions so dummy like me can't get too lost would be appreciated....If none, then how far from Sukhumvit on Soi 5 is Foodmart.... Many thanks for what help is offered....

Bangkoktraveler
Between landmark and NEP is a pharmacy and their prices are reasonable. I don't think they are open all night. Foodland is on the other side of the street at soi 5. I doubt it is 100 paces from Sukumvitt. As for the pharmacy, I don't think that is open all night, could be wrong. USVirgin
There's one on Sukhumvit just the other side of Soi 4 that's open late (if it's still there, been a while...).

Buddy, you plan far enough in advance to know before you get off the plane what hotel you'll be staying in, and you've got the forethought to ask for a pharmacy location days in advance - Wy can't you schedule in a daylight hours trip to a legitimate joint?! To expand on what's said above, anything purchased in that neighborhood, at any hour, is of dubious pedigree -- from the ladies, to the meat-on-a-stick, right on down to the medications. shygye
There is a pharmacy in the basement of the Landmark, but I doubt it is open 24hrs. The hospital on soi 3 has a pharmacy that will be open 24 hrs.
Iluvlos
Thanks for the info guys......and perhaps gals. The things I'm looking for are VERY expensive in the USA and there is Asian pricing with a lot of drugs that makes it significantly cheaper. Example: Actos,,,,30 days of pills = $245 US Advacor 30 days = $214 US Celebrex 30 days = $119 US I take others due to a severe accident that almost left me crippled three years ago. I probably would have been OK (don't laugh, though its hard) but when the helicopter took off, was on my side, got a healthy twinge of pain and rolled off the thing and wasn't secured well enough, out of the copter down about 15 feet into some mud. I also take other meds mainly consisting of threetypes of blood thinners that keep circulation to a "dropped" foot so it doesn't get amputated. The reason I'm asking so soon, is when I go through customs in the USA,,,they will typically ask for the prescription for any pills you're carrying,,,,which is OK, but trying to take very little to stock up in Asia..... Typically go to the Philippines,,,,lived there for 9 years......, Regardless, although some are suspicious, please know that my health plan where I was once covered is now gone....., the company I had health insurance went bankrupt..... The trick becomes how to get them back to the USA since any more than a 90 day supply is likely to get stopped and siezed in customs.... Just to let you know, I will be getting 7 packages of 90 day supply and send them separately approx. 4 days apart,,,and take one 90 day supply on my way back....Two years of meds that will help pay for my trip. Main purpose of my Bangkok trip is a large hope that several nerve regeneration efforts are being tried at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok that I am trying to get some options with. If nothing else, to accept fate and live with it. The first appointments at Bumrungrad are 4 days after my arrival, so looking to "shop around" first. Will have run out of two drugs so looking for something when I get off the plane....particularly Celebrex,,,,it makes a big difference with joint pain., Hope those of good heart are wishing me luck.
