The_Munchmaster
You despise Down Under?! That's a very strong emotion, care to explain?
drogon
first time I went there (just after its opening) - Went with one of the owners for a tour of the facilities -> as they were still looking for another investor - Then had to wait (with a relation) about 15 min for a waitress to notice us - The order was not correct -> brought something that we did not order - Got very nice loud comments from a group of young English speakers (Aussies?) obviously tourists who asked why there was an Asian sitting alone at a table for 4 people.... (we were 3 but the 2 others were with the owners) - Burger was not good Of course, it might have something to do with the fact they were just opened, that I was not lucky with a few young backpackers etc... Still, since then I spent my money elsewhere.
The_Munchmaster
I don't think you understand the meaning of the word despise.
drogon
In my meaning: To dislike intensily nope? I can despise someone but I thought you can despise something like a bar or a restaurant no? Feel free to correct me munchie
The_Munchmaster
In my meaning: To dislike intensily nope? I can despise someone but I thought you can despise something like a bar or a restaurant no? Feel free to correct me munchie The Oxford English Dictionary defines it as follows: "Look down on as inferior, worthless or contemptible." Therefore I think it can only be used towards other people. Anyway your reaction seems just a bit OTT, especially bearing in mind that the place had just opened. I was also there a day or so after it opened and had a very good experience, especially the numerous free pies.
drogon
Thanks for the precision munchie. English not being my native language there is always room for improvement. Yes, I tend to take my customer role too much at heart. But After all, there are so many places where to go in BKK that you can always find one you like. (and I did not make a fuss)
CTO
You are making a fuss - your making it here long after the bar could have learnt! Nothing wrong with constructive criticism. But has to be given at the time - not over a year later when the place gives us good service and a few rounds of free beer.
drogon
Sorry then will ask KS to delete my post. I was just answering the question as to why I do not like this place.
