waerth
I am pretty sure it was the nation as I always only bought the Nation since I came here ..... but since it is some time ago it might have been Post. It is nice to hear that someone still publishes these inserts though! Waerth
FAT_AUSSIE
Ã?yutaya is'nt bad if you can get someone with a boat to take you about, otherwise It would be a pain in the arse, dusty shithole. Lop Buri may be streching the 2-3 hours but trippy place to hang out. Good overnighter, cheap hotels. easy. FA...

Old Hippie
I usually stay at PP villa. Rate in the off season was 800 bht, went again in March, and the rate was 1200, for exact same room! Good place, good location. I see they opened an "American Rib company" right across the street! Try the Green lady restaurant on the other side of town, right on the beach, with a great view of the standing Bhudda!
WorldFun
thanks for the winery tip - sounds like a great alternative to nakhon nayok ;-) koh kret at the end of chaeng watthana rd where it hits the river is merely a day trip & gets boring after couple of hours although worth it especially if combining with a biking trip at bang bua thong! bang saen is probably one of the more underrated places within 2hours from bkk on excellent express ways & a world apart from nearby Pattaya! ayuttaha/lopburi/saraburi/nakhon nayok is probably another underrated area which has either old temples en masse or various nature stuff to explore just few hours north... anything else we forgot?
