drogon
I just received an offer for a job in Geneva but the salary was mentioned in daily Swiss francs.... Is it normal that salaries are discussed on a daily rate basis??
teddy
Maybe they think you won't last more than a week so a daily rate is more appropriate
samak
anywhere in Europe or USA if salaries are quoted on a daily base it is either not for a full time job or for a low end job!
drogon
It is a full time consultancy job for a 12 months period but I have no idea if xxx euros/day are market rate there... Thus this is why I ask
Mentors
Drogon, no it is not usual except sometimes for project works.
drogon
Thanks a lot mentors. Seems that the average annual salary in my branch is between 120-160K Swiss Frances/year but consultancy seems to be treated differently. Mentors, what do you think about the quality of life in Switzerland?
dullnight
"what do you think about the quality of life in Switzerland?" Very good, although I would prefer Zurich as Geneva is a bit too small and quiet for my taste.
waerth
My parents lived near Zurich. Very good. Very nice area! Do not know about the Geneva side of the country though ... W
