zzzz
If it gets down to $25 a barrel, I should go long on oil for sure.
Guest lazyphil
its good and bad....good for our daily spending but bad for the much needed urgency for developing new ways to transport our goods/selves around.
Old Hippie
Oil tumbles below $44 a barrel' date=' gas hits new low[/url'] When oil prices shot up and I was paying over $4 a gallon to fill my car, I was convinced I'd never see oil below $3 again in my life. In California where we have some of the highest prices in the country, I am paying $1.89 if I hunt around a little and can regularly get gas under $2. I wonder if I really will see close to a buck a gallon again? I guess rogie was right! How many off shore wells have they drilled so far? A few things at work here...1)Bush leaving office 2) people got wise to the scam and called on it 3)people cut back, and the economy went to shit...4) people found other ways to get around and cut back...5)the threat to the OPEC assholes that we would evelope new sources, and new alternatives, led the godless fucks to lower the price so we would foolishly abandon (yet again) our search for a permanent way to tell the rag headed non showering fucktards to choke on their oil... Now, as the price is low, we will be stupid yet again, forget we took it in the ass for awhile, and will do nothing to get off of Arab/foreign oil...only a matter of time until we get fucked again. Old Hippie, how wise you are! If the governments were wise, they should increase the tax on gas. No I don't want to see the price of gas go up, but by doing that, the tax increase could be used to subsidize with tax breaks and tax credits industries coming out with new energy effective products.
