Or will she face repatriation to Burma as you originally feared? Unless you have a work permit which you can only "officially" get by holding a Burmese id which she hasn't got then the answer is no. Will she try to work illegally........of course. Sometimes it's all about economics as someone pointed out to me recently. Apparently there is a bit of a crack-down at the moment on illegals not only the Burmese but Cambodians and Laos as well. All this began recently when the global downturn really bit down hard on the thai economy. Lots of thais out of work so are looking to fill the positions of the illegals.
