The Massachusetts Democrat, battling a brain tumor, has been in Florida in recent days and has not been in the Capitol since suffering a seizure on Inauguration Day more than two weeks ago. As I said in another thread, I was hoping all the pols would leave this one 'fat free'. The Minnesota senate race is still in question. The one with comedian Al Franken. Ted Kennedy is ill. I'm sure he'd try and make it if he could. With the things I saw in this package I gave up any and all hope we would ever have any pork free legislation. Its about as serious as you can get but there are things that were snuck in there. Obama has been very centrist. Moreso than I would have ever imagined. Meant each job "created" was going to cost $1.4 million EACH! This is the type of crap that only a Demoncrat can celebrate. And Obama thinks that those who don't agree that it's a good plan are obstructionists who don't care what happens. The guy isn't a fool, but his absolute true beliefs are becoming more evident daily. Where's RY to jump in on this. (Have hardly heard a peep out of RChapstick or Khun Kong lately. :smirk: And ItsMeDave has been keeping a low profile too. HH I think the idea is all the indirect jobs that will be created later on, or as a result of the one "direct job" being saved (not created really). Guy gets a job, he eats out, shops buys a car etc...so hence more jobs to support his job/life style type crap. Fact is, this "stimulis" is coming from tax payers (as did the last one), all they are doing is returning our money...logic follows, if they didn't take our money, we would be spending it, saving it or investing it, all 3 are good for the economy...giving it to the feds to fuck off with is NOT. As for obstructionists...they ARE there, on both sides. Look at dipshit Limpballs and others who have vowed to disrupt Obama's plans, and have said how they hope he fails, country be damned. Then look at the ass hats on the other side who are exploiting this to add their own crap to the bill...we lose either way. Fact is, many people are hurting now, and they need some sort of relief. These people could give a shit about party politics, right wing left wing socialism etc, all they know is they can't pay their bills and lost their jobs and homes and maybe families as well...
