cavanami
Improve the image is nice but work on where the rubber hits the road! Weaken the baht. Offer specials. LOS needs to put the $$$ where their mouth is, IMO.

kamui
..... include a regional economic meeting and a forum of senior executives of the world's leading companies. "Hi' date=' we're from Thailand and we want to improve our image, you are senior executives of the world's leading companies, please come to a meeting."[/quote'] But be careful, since even a meeting with a TAT member might be illegal without an official permit. Also do not talk about internal reasons why LOS tourism went down at the end of the last year. Neither comment on the destruction of beaches and jungles, the pollution of the water and the real bad air in BKK, or the unpractical side of the new airport. And never ever talk about the corruption in LOS (even we might ask for some private loans to our families, if you want to gain access to the Thai market). And as a sidenote: corruption doesn't have anything to do with above stated (fictional or overstated) problems. Topics like a dysfunctional political and corrupt system are myths created by Thai hating organizations like BBC or Transparency International. Please be advised that Thailand has a special law to deal with destructive comments made by Farangs or locals (L.M.). Therefore please follow the most important and most valued behavior, either you are Thai or Farang: always smile (and shut up). Actually, the best would be, if you stay at home and just wire us some money. :content:
