khunsanuk
Hi, Does anyone know how to say 'Bullshit' in Thai? Not referring to a literal translation, but one that expresses the same thoughts. Sanuk!

khunsanuk
Hi, Not heard that one before, Mekong. Not saying you are wrong of course, just doesn't ring a bell. Sanuk!
Perv
His version was in the group of phrases I saw, including mine. Also, don't know who you wanna use it on but IME, the girls I hang around understand what bullshit means so no need for any translation.
Flashermac
One I haven't heard in ages is "FOY" (rising tone). In the 1970s anyway it carried the same implication as BS. I suppose one might try Isaan - KEE DTUA (literally to lie).
Mekong
Hi, Not heard that one before, Mekong. Not saying you are wrong of course, just doesn't ring a bell. Sanuk! I got this from my Thai Teacher Mrs M. Thais just say B.S. using Thai Pronunciation of the said letters. I have used it in meetings with Thai's and they fully understood that I was disagreeing with their comments. à ¸?à ¸µ Bee (Thai Pronunciation of English à ¹?à ¸Âà ¸ª Aeht (Thai Pronunciation of English S) Thai transcription of the foreign loanword, "bullshit" is à ¸?à ¸¹à ¸¥à ¸?à ¸´à ¸? buun(M) chit(H) less rarely used
gene1944
Per my expert: Foy means "exaggerate" so not quite the same context that KS is looking for. It is considered a polite word. As noted by FM, it is not used much any more. Ki Ju is the northern dialect for BS. Not polite. Toh lae is probably the central dialect word(s) you are looking for. It is not polite. Ki Moh is another central dialect word that is slightly more polite than Toh lae.
khunsanuk
Hi, "Toh lae is probably the central dialect word(s) you are looking for. It is not polite. Ki Moh is another central dialect word that is slightly more polite than Toh lae." Familiar with both of these words, but neither sum up what I think of when saying 'Bullshit'. I guess the B.S. might be the closest. Sanuk!
