What matters is if the cops here can get their hands on you if you live here, or visit here. Total anonymity is the only way to have a site where there are things being shown, written about, etc that the Thai authorities could use against you to extort money from you. And even then, if they do not like they can easily just ban your site from view within Thailand, which would likely hurt the site numbers enough to not make it worthwhile to do. Imagine how slow this site would be if all the expats that post here could not. (Well, they could using a proxy, but still, many just would not bother.) Nong Gnat got in trouble a few years ago when it was found she had done a porn flick in Pattaya when she was 19. Her pics were all over the internet - but taken in Japan. The cops got her because it is illegal to produce or perform in a porn film IN THAILAND, which she clearly had done. They couldn't touch her for what she did elsewhere. Back in the early '80s a Patpong BG did some porn in Denmark and the cops tracked her down. The court ruled what she had done in Denmark was none of the Thai cops' business. Still, even if you are acquitted, the cops can cause you a lot of problems and cost you a lot of money. (I'm sure somebody must be paying off big money for Nigel and the Monkeyman to do their smut.)
