ozpharlap
Do you have to bring your own photographs or do they have a place/system there to take them for you? I recall the old place had all that yes?
Flashermac
I didn't notice any photographer nearby. Still, when I went there the Immigration office hadn't "officially" opened yet.
Pom Michael
The One-Stop Service Center for Visa and Work Permit has moved to: Chamchuri Square 18th Floor 319 Phaya Thai Road Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330 This is NOT the immigration office, but the place to renew Work Permits for specific companies. Although I have read that they also do 90 day reporting. Must say they are very organized now. It is still a huge amount of paperwork, but extremely efficient and should I say transparent? If you qualify for a work permit then it is a very smooth process. Got there at 08:30 and was out by 09:00 with everything done. Price is still 5,700 baht for the renewal and multiple re-entry stamp. Cheers!
TheCorinthian
Is this where I can go to get the 30 extension to my tourist visa?
ThaiHome
Don't think so. I think you will have to go out to Chaeng Wattana for that. TH

Flashermac
Look for a huge building, inside of which is mostly empty space... looks like a blimp hangar and you could lose an ice skating rink in the middle of it. Immigration does close for lunch - 1200 to 1315 (or whenever they feel like opening again). The huge building was Takky's idea. There's a mall in the basement that was full of shops and nice restaurants when it opened. Now they are mostly gone and some cheap flea market type areas are springing up. (But Takky made his money off of it, and that's what counts.) Make sure you get a number when you go in. They won't talk to you unless you have the number and wait in line. Best to get there early - around when they open! Free shuttle bus in the government area, but they need one inside the building too.
dddave
Copy shop in the lower level as well but you'll save yourself a lot of time if you do your copies in advance: Passport face page and visa page.
