unit731
Pills, pills, pills and more pills. Anyone have any issues with medicine entering home country (farangland)? Have you ever been questioned about any pills at Customs? If your bags are searched, ever any questions about any pills/medicine?
zzzz
If you're carrying prescription pills, you should have the prescription for each medication. I carry lots of vitamins and prescription meds when I travel and have never been questioned about them, except one time at the Camobodian Border when the border guard searched my bags and asked me if the pills were vitamins. I answered "yes" and was allowed through.
shygye
Returning to the USA, I was questioned over some Imodium tablets I had in my luggage.
Julian2
No problems Oz, unless it's in serious quantities they're not interested. I've had a few visitors buy prescription meds at a local wholesale warehouse and take a few months supply back.
flacko
I have taken perscription medicine I have bought in Thailand back home to America lots of times.Only been searched twice at the San Francisco airport. Each time the customs agents saw but were not interested in my medications. i think it depends on how much you bring back up to 90 day supply is acceptable
shygye
It depends on what you're bringing back. You bring in a supply of steroids, barbiturates, etc.; expect the 3rd degree. Wasn't Stallone tagged in Oz for bringing steriods and HGH?
Specialist
I routinely bring small quantities of asthma meds and antibiotics back with me. Zero trouble at DFW, whether I have to go through the long line (usually because I bought clothes) or not.
dave32
Returning to the USA, I was questioned over some Imodium tablets I had in my luggage. Immodium is one of the specific items looked for to identify drug mules (it prevents them from losing their load prematurely).
manaomaiminam
That's interesting to know about Immodium. I take Immodium and before (when it was easy to get in LOS)Lomotil to keep me from having to use the disgusting small toilets in the planes during the long trip home. If I get profiled, at least I will know why.
Bangkoktraveler
I put all medication out in the open. They never look at it.
