gummigut
Okay, I think things are going to be fine for another 2-3 months or so. Things are going to start to deteriorate economically in 3 months or so. No good news going into the 4th quarter and that's going to depress the Holiday season. While I think the tourists can keep the Thai economy from going in the hole during the 4Q and 1Q, it's going to be a bumpy ride and everyone who upped the estimates for growth in the Thai economy will be decreasing their estimates. The baht will move north of 45 and proably hit 46 before the 1Q ends. So I'll go out on a limb and say the baht will be trading somehwere between 45.75 and 46.75 at the end of January. This will irrespective (and may break the mold) with what goes on in Japan as the causes will mainly be internally driven. So, anyone else want to guess what the exchange rate will be in January? <<burp>>
