Pom Michael
Have the manual - don't see anywhere that it states in plain English - "HD ready"!

Pom Michael
Yes, the attachment was 2 mbytes, but the limit is only 500k. So it would not work.
Pom Michael
Ok, so where is the dunce hat icon? I'm wearing it. So, I now have True Vision HD. New set-top box. 2 new HD stations (ASN HD and HBO HD). But - as I thought (too late) - my TV is not HD. The family wasn't very sympathetic - I thought it was obvious that we just needed to buy a new TV! It was like the Red/Yellow/Blue shirts at home. Me: Buy a new TV - use this old 42 inch plasma in the bedroom. Them: No Me: Well, what can we do then? We can watch the new channels, but not in the good quality format that they were designed in. Them: So Me: Them: Ok, buy new one, but send this 42 in Plasma to Grandmom up in the village. Me: No So - there is no roadmap to peace at home yet. I'll post some photos of the box and the updated screen shots when I can. Bottom line - if US sports and movies are your interest, then it is worth it. True is saying that more HD channels will be coming soon. Cheers!

expat
Lots of HD tvs available cheap as chips nowadays. Bought mine for 16000 a few months ago, just saw it being sold for 12 or 13 thousand. Oh, it's a 32 inch LG 1920x1080.
