Nervous God
OK - DURING WW2 - if this was pub quiz, I'd let the guesses out slowly. What country:- Was a member of the Axis, Had a field synagogue for it's Jewish army members who fought alongside it's German Axis partners Who even won (and refused) a few iron crosses Who used British and USA aircraft Who was allowed to accept Allied military support shipped through Axis and occupied countries by Hitler himself Was declared war on by Britain but not USA Fascinating. kamui
Wikipedia says: The military history of Finland during World War II covers the history of Finland from 1939 to 1945. Finland fought [color:red]three wars[/color]: the Winter War alone against the Soviet Union, the Continuation War with Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union, and the Lapland War against Germany. In the end, Finland managed to defend its independence and democratic constitution but had to cede nearly 10% of its territory, including its second largest city, Viipuri (from 1944 Vyborg), to the USSR. Flashermac
Odd war all right. Hitler and Stalin joined together to invade and beat the crap out of Poland. Then they divided it between them. As a result, Britain and France declared war on Hitler. Nobody declared war on Stalin! Also, this bit: Hitler's Jewish Soldiers Hitler's secret Indian army
