USVirgin
Fark, when I went to vote for Obama, I discovered I was an independent, rather than the Republican I always had been. Must have been real pissed off at GWB and got real liquored up on my way to the polls for that to happen. That's my best guess anyway.
Flashermac
I've always been a registered Democrat, even though I became an independent 30 years ago.
USVirgin
I have a confession to make. I registered Republican and the first chance they gave me to vote, I voted for Carter.

unit731
They need to run on a platform of "We ain't gonna do nuthin! We won't start any new wars and we will start looking after our own country's interests first." The party that says that should win in a landslide. Maybe this should be the Republican canditate - as he says all the right things. No "Nation Building" in foreign policy! According to this guy the role of USA is NOT nation building. A true winner! LizardKing
The choice between Romney and Obama should be the easiest to make ever. Romney would be the clear choice for anybody other than a hardcore, left-wing Demoncrat. Even if I agreed with you, you have a huge problem, all started by your St Ronnie. The GOP base (you are a rare exception) has gotta have them a Jeebus luvin' POTUS. Jeebus is more important than anything. Mittens has this problem were he loves him the wrong Jeebus and the redneck base just won't be puttin' up with that nonsense. It would make their little baby Jeebus cry and they can't have that! St Ronnie sold out your party to the Reeds, Robertsons and the Falwells, et al and you ain't gonna get it back. It will simply migrate to a regional party and something else will (or should anyway) take its place against the Dems. But that's a couple of generations away still.
