The American republic has renewed and rebuilt itself during even greater crises in the past, and can do so again. But the first step is to drop the happy talk and chest-thumping and flag-waving and be honest with ourselves about the severity of the problems confronting us. GW Bush. Clinton left Bush with a balanced budget. A balanced budget. Clinton left Bush with a national debt of $ 6 trillion dollars. 6 Trillion dollars national debt on GW Bush first day in office. So what does GW Bush do? He gives everyone a tax cut. Screw the national debt. And it has been all downhill since GW Bush first day in office. Chew on that ! Since Hillsie is faltering, people are starting to push Elizabeth Warren. Next it will be an Hispanic or Asian. Maybe a Native American, if they can find one to run.
