Steve
I do recall the Clinton administration were after him as well. Can't recall which government, a north African one I believe offered him up to Clinton but White House lawyers said that kidnapping and bringing him in wouldn't hold up legally. Imagine the feeling if you were that Navy Seal member that made the kill shot? We all know there will be a movie about it, don't we? One of the cowards used a woman as a human shield. Pussy...him not her.

Flashermac
I looked it up. Sudan offered to arrested Osama and extradite him to Saudi. Saudi didn't want him. The Sudanese gvomt then offered to monitor Obama and report everything to the US, but Clinton wasn't interested. All Clinton did was pressure Sudan to expell him from the country. They did ... and he went to Afganistan. Link
Bangkoktraveler
YES ! Just waiting for details and dna results. Baste him in pig grease and throw him in a kiln HH In the 1800's, the USA military killed one Apache chief, cut off his head, boiled the head in hot water till the flesh fell off and then droved a stake thru the skull and posted it outside. That singular act did not help matters; actually it made things worse.
Bangkoktraveler
Hi, I think you may have too much faith in your country / government. Do you really believe are not that ruthless that they would start a war just to make themselves richer? How about causing a financial crash to make themselves richer? Oh wait, that actually did happen. And do you deny that lots of people made HUGE amounts of money of the war in Iraq? Sanuk! The Apache wars in the USA lined the pockets of many with money as Apache land was taken by 'hook or crock' piece by piece,
unit731
Yes, the plight of US Native Americans. A truly sad day in US history. But not to diminish this tragedy other countries did similiar. Canada, Australia, etc. Ah, the White mans legacy. Those US out there read the "Trail of Tears" tragedy of the Cherokee Indians. Most of these folks had assimilated in the Carolinas. And the Pequot Tribe annihilation in early US/English colony. US revionists now claim that all tribes are wealthy because of casinos. Not quite. Most tribes do not have a casino. And US big business comes in and takes 40-50 percent of casino profits. What about Diego Garcia? Yes, a sad day for history. Indiginous peoples. Bangkoktraveler
We can still learn a lot from the Indians. Geronimo was our greatest 'domestic' terrorist. Seeing how he was 'created' and how he acted might help us to prevent 'creating' more 'terrorist'. This could be a great time to see what we could do to stop repeating the same mistakes. Bangkoktraveler
[color:red]Hundreds join first Pakistan rally to honour bin Laden[/color] Hundreds took to the streets of Pakistan’s city of Quetta on Monday to pay homage to Osama bin Laden, chanting death to America and setting fire to a US flag, witnesses and organisers said. Angry participants belonging to a religious party in Quetta, the capital of southwestern province Baluchistan, were led by federal lawmaker Maulawi Asmatullah. They also torched a US flag before dispersing peacefully. It was the first rally in Pakistan after the United States announced that bin Laden had been killed in an overnight commando mission in Pakistan. Organisers said between 1,000 and 1,200 people attended the rally, but witnesses put the figure closer to 800. “Bin Laden was the hero of the Muslim world and after his martyrdom he has won the title of great mujahed (Muslim fighter),†Asmatullah said.
