khunsanuk
Hi, Thanks, guys. As expected I think we'll be fine. If the most we can expect here is 50cm the house certainly will not flood as not only is my house relatively high, the house is another 50-60cm above the soi level. Sanuk! rookie
Thanks...I appreciate the links to the maps of flooding and especially Flashermacs link to the pix. One must feel both sorry and helpless for the untold thousands which have been affected! Naturally, it's now dry as can be in Pattaya
Flashermac
Got a SITREP from a friend whose Mrs is from Nakhorn Sawan. I knew the floods had broken through and inundated the entire city, but she said in some places it is over 2 meters deep. Her family was earlier evacuated to one building, but has now had to move to another on higher ground.
cavanami
Was chatting with a former tee rak from Nakhorn Sawan and I inquired about her family but she said she was afraid to contact them as they would be asking for $$$...so much for Thai helping the family
WorldFun
i think a lot of people are helping not only relatives, but also strangers through donations e.g. water via boat to cut off villages/houses... obviously some aren't helping often the ones who have a lot

Flashermac
2/3rds? The government has declared ONE-THIRD to be a disaster zone, though that is certainly big enough.
