Guy Himmaparn
The original board had about 6 members when I joined it. I found it when I typed in Nanaplaza and searched. It quickly grew to over 150 members. Then one day we went to log on and it was gone! No warning, it was just shut down. I emailed KS, but he'd already discovered it had been zapped. I thought a rare post of mine was responsible as it was the last one before the zapping... found out later that it was strictly a coincidence... khunsanuk
Hi, "and I don't even recall who Cronk was." Cronk is a friend of mine who no longer posts, but still lives in Thailand. You might well have met him at some point Sanuk!
khunsanuk
Hi, Yeah, InsideTheWeb (just remembered the name) decided that we had broken some rule and just shut the board down. As a result we had to move to Delphi, which we'd tried earlier, but people didn't like. No choice anymore at that point though. After Delphi decided every user would have to start paying, we moved to a board setup on our own server. I think the software was called UBB, later replaced by an updated version called UBB.threads. That got replaced by FusionBB at some, which in turn got replaced by the IP.board software we are running now. It's been a long road, with lots of excitement over the years. Sanuk!
Pom Michael
What year was the first board? I think I ran into you guys in either 1996 or 1997 in the old Woodstock - the waitresses called the small group that gathered there on Friday nights the "Internet" group.

Flashermac
I think I found the board in late 1998 or early 1999. Before that there was AFSO, which I never belonged to.

khunsanuk
Hi, "What year was the first board?" I launched the site that the board belonged to in Sep '96. The board came about a year later I think. The friday night meetings probably started late '97 / early '98 Sanuk!
