Guest
http://gulfnews.com/...n-uae-1.1275960 http://www.scribd.co...ion-Authorities Ummmm this can't be right, a quick search on internet and it seems there are loads of aircraft flying all over the place that have safety issues. Example .... Airlines blacklisted by the EU over safety concerns are flying in the UAE. A simple web search shows that Ariana Afghan Airlines, banned by the EU since 2006, flies to Dubai seven times a week. Sudan Airways, banned by the EU since 2010, flies to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah for a total of seven times a week. A spokesperson for the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) would not comment on the presence of banned airlines in UAE airspace but pointed out that the UAE does not share the same list as the EU. While the GCAA has banned 61 aircraft operators, including 35 charter operators, the EU blacklist can be used by other countries as a guideline on aviation safety policies and as an indicator of unsafe airlines. Ernest Arvai, a US-based aviation consultant and CEO of The Arvai Group, told Gulf News that the presence of EU-banned airlines in the UAE provides an opportunity rather than tainting the country’s image. “The key is helping those countries in difficulty take steps to correct their problems,†he said. Guest
Bad safey record from a lot of countries, just wondering why these planes are still flying including Thailand. Contary to what you might think I make no excuses for Thailands poor record either. Just shocked that this is more widespread than I thought .... http://www.scribd.co...ion-Authorities
acockasian
And your point is?????? The key point, which seems clear to me, is “.....a quick search on internet and it seems there are loads of aircraft flying all over the place that have safety issuesâ€. Just to clarify, here it is in : Albanian një kërkim të shpejtë në internet dhe duket ka ngarkesa e avionëve fluturues në të gjithë vendin që kanë çështje të sigurisë Bulgarian Едно бързо Ñ‚ÑŠÑ€Ñене в интернет и изглежда, има много въздухоплавателни ÑредÑтва, плаващи по цÑлото мÑÑто, които имат проблеми Ñ Ð±ÐµÐ·Ð¾Ð¿Ð°ÑноÑтта Greek Μιa γÏήγοÏη aνaζήτηση στο διaδίκτυο κaι φaίνετaι ότι υπάÏχουν φοÏτίa των aεÏοσκaφών που πετοÏν σε όλη τη χώÏa που Îχουν θÎμaÏ„a aσφάλειaÏ‚ Hebrew חיפוש מהיר ב××™× ×˜×¨× ×˜ ×•× ×¨××” שיש המון ×ž×˜×•×¡×™× ×˜×¡×™× ×‘×›×œ ×”×ž×§×•× ×©×™×© ×œ×”× ×‘×¢×™×•×ª בטיחות Icelandic a fljótur leita á netinu og það virðist að það eru fullt af flugvélum sem fljúga út um allt sem hafa öryggismál Romanian o căutare rapidă pe internet È™i se pare că există o mulÈ›ime de avioane care zboară peste tot, care au probleme de siguranta If that doesn't help we can try more languages but it is hard to make the point more simple than it already is. radioman
A friends daughter was an air hostess for Gulf Air some years back. The more she learned about their maintenance system the more inclined she was to quit, and did eventually. If more people saw and understood how a lot of the less than top line carriers operate they would never fly. It's nothing less than staggering to me that air travel is as trouble free as it generally is.

When you are sitting at the gate, waiting for the maintenance crew to change a tire on the aircraft...WTF! Yes, the maintenance needs to be improved, IMO.
