Flashermac
Wow, no more USA flights, not that long ago they had a few places they went too Years ago Thai Air had a fine reputation. My mother flew them to visit me around 1983, took the flight from Dallas. She loved the airline and its service. (Swiss Air even sent some of its cabin crews to Bangkok to learn from Thai.) Things started to go wrong after the 1992 coup. The military began fiddling with Thai Air, buying new planes of many types - when Thai had always stuck to only a few models to keep maintenance costs low. Next thing you knew, Thai was losing money ... and has seldom managed to get back into the black. When politicians and generals mess with a business, things will never be the same. Coss
When did they stop flying to LA? In order to save face, one discontinues one's routes to L.A. when one is notified that there will be a down grade. This allows one to say, "This does not affect me". Specialist
I've ridden Thai twice now, once in Business Class from Frankfurt to Bangkok, once in Coach from London Heathrow to Bangkok. Both flights are among my best-ever memories of flying.
