They seem to like it slightly rose coloured

So what is it then if not Rose Gold? Rose Gold is the name given to gold with Rose Colour, so you saying Rose Coloured implied Rose Gold.

How does the gold get its “Rose Colour’?

I assume copper as an additive,

The point you seem to fail to grasp is the percentage is far less than in your formula

Is it?

Ot could be more 25% impurity is for 18 Karat, 14K no 10K are even more.

Don't believe me, ask ChatGPT again.

My only experience was that when one of the family wanted to buy gold, all the female members of the clan and half the neighbour women, would descend on the gold shop for an hour. All for a 1 baht bracelet or similar.

They did think that Lao gold was superior to Thai, but I think that's national pride. Of course it's all sold by the same people and it could just as likely be "Moon Gold" if you asked them. Or chicken intestine gold, or...

Re: the colour, possibly some gold is diluted, with a bit of silver, thereto making "Rosier" gold more desirable.

But for me the interest, was always transferring a sum of money.
