I'm hoping that by 2025, the prices are low enough to be attractive when in Laos. On the other side of the equation is the Laotian held belief that the Chinese vehicles, tendered to the Lao folk, are the runts, or seconds of the production line...

Thailand touts itself on its “Green Credentials” then complains when Chinas EV sales are hitting the export of ICE vehicles. 
There is only one EV manufacturer in Thailand and that is BYD the very Chinese company they are complaining about.
