Mekong, thank you updating my knowledge in the fine arts of running a country as honest as physically possible. Still I did not get it why the former archenemy Thaksin who had to flee the country now seems everybody´s friend . All the senators in the nice uniform  must have managed a Trump-enemies -like move backwards. Sorry for insisting.

Bubi, No problem, if there a couple of things which seem confusing, it is Thai politics after all, I am happy to give you my take on the situation. It’s only my opinion mind  you

The Old Guard are terrified of “New Blood” ruling the roost.

In 2020 Future Forward were disbanded for some made up bullshit, in the most recent election they came back as Move Forward Party who won the majority in the last election.

The Old Guard Shit themselves and cut a Deal with Thaksin to come back to Thailand, pretend to serve some of his prison sentence when in fact he was allegedly in a 5 Star Hospital most of the time, this was unconfirmed as no visitors were allowed and eventually be granted a pardon. In return for this Thaksin would allow his Pheu Thai Party, everyone knows he is in charge, get in bed with all the old guard parties and form a coalition which would outnumber Move Forward and hence form a government

A recent survey carried out be Sripatum University on  22 to 24 Augurs 24 asked “If there was an election today who would you vote for?” and 62.39% said People’s Party the latest name of the party.

Red shirts who had supported Thaksin and Pheu Thai are deserting in droves, so now People Party are biding their time making sure that they do everything by the book and they will win the next election by a landslide.

Knowing Thailand after they are in power there would be a coup

Coalition alliance open to all parties, including Democrats - Thaksin

Pheu Thai's de facto leader Thaksin Shinawatra said today that his party has not ruled out the possibility of more parties joining the governing coalition, including the Democrats.

Thaksin also said that, if the Palang Pracharath party, which is now suffering an internal rift, is to join the new government, the two factions must heal their schism and, quoting a well-known song, “If you want to come, you must come as a whole.”...
