Steve
I'm thinking it will be a draw, 1-1. I don't think either side will score more than 1 goal, 2 tops. I can't wait though, it will be one of the 3 big fixtures for this month.
Pom Michael
Zaad, Put your prediction over in the GW 10 Sanuk Side Bet thread. I don't think anyone has picked Van the Man yet ! Still a few more hours left before the games begin. Cheers!
Robbie9god
Liverpool v Man U is the biggest rivalry in English football and the biggest game regardless of how both teams are placed in the league. It is the same as Real Madrid and Barcelona.Arsenal and Chelsea like Deportivo and Valencia in spain will never be regarded in the same way as the big two. As a pool fan the 1st fixture I always look for is Man U then the toffees and maybe then wonder when the rest are due.And as most of my friends are Man U scumbags I know the Pool is the game they always look out for. This is the game both sets of fans want to win more than any other. Go on the Reds!

Steve
Robbie, believe me I'm well aware of that. My first ever memory of English football was in the early 80s and the evening news showed a clip of Man Utd fans being escorted by police to Anfield from the railway station. Both clubs are the only clubs I even heard of before I started watching EPL. That being said, due to all 3 being in contention for the title, each others fixtures are also very important, no? In terms of the league table, they are all very important, but in terms of emotion, you won't get an argument out of me. Just as Arsenal and their derbies in London with Tottenham and Chelsea have that extra emtional component to them. I'd put Tottenham over Chelsea though, although both are very important rivalry-wise.

Pom Michael
Racha, As long as Giggs, Hyppia, Hamann and Murphy do all the scoring, this final score is fine by me. But, I'll pick Man U 2-3 Liverpool.
bibblies
I'm looking for nothing less than 3-2 Liverpool with the essential proviso that Murphy does all the Liverpool scoring (unassisted), that the least likely Man U player (O'Shea?) does all the Man U scoring (again, completely unassisted) and that everyone except Murphy gets a yellow card and has an unbonusable 'mare. ::
