  2. Attention fellow boardsmen! I predict an incoming stream of new members following a mentioning of this fine board by Khun Stickman this very Sunday. " The forum is back up and remains a place for long-time members to reminisce about the good old days, along with a regular dose of bickering. " To avoid TikTok addicts and other brainless subjects I may propose a minimum age of 65 years for access to keep standards high and maintain the average age level. Further a meaningful essay covering 5 gogo-bars which closed at least 25 years ago should be provided by any newcomer. ( For credibility)

  4. I did hear once, that Noah’s biggest problem was all the waste produced by the animals. When it got at it’s worst, the family shoveled it all overboard. Then in 1492 Columbus discoverd it!

Welcome to Masturbators Anonymous. I see a lot of the regular members came today. That's disappointing.

  7. A woman goes to the gynecologist and says “I keep finding postage stamps from Costa Rica in my Vagina” The Doctor checked and said “Miss, they’re not postage stamps, they’re stickers off the bananas”
  8. Thought I answered this…was not married at the time…
  9. Not sure if the rules are still the change but opening a Thai Bank Account can be a nightmare. I remember trying to open a HSBC account in Silom. I had put up the money for a property deposit here in Oz for someone who lived in LOS. On my next visit to LOS I was reimbursed in cash (THB) so I decided to use it to open an account at HSBC as they are the only bank in LOS who also have branches in Oz. So when I went to open the account HSBC needed official proof of where the funds came from. Difficult and extremely complicated so they suggested I open a "Foreign Currency" account which meant I had to exchange the THB to $AU (Exchange loss to me) and they would open a "Foreign Currency" account in Australian Dollars. Once I returned with $AU and opened the account they then offered to open a THB account and link the two. Time consuming and cost me money so lesson learnt, if you absolutely don't need a Thai bank account as a tourist why would you bother. Annoyingly shortly after HSBC sold their retail banking arm to a Thai Bank and they closed all accounts sitting dormant for 6 months or more.

Had to laugh this morning, the Mrs was talking about Lopburi problem, but in her accent she drops the P and it becomes Loburi . Now we all know the Asia. Penchant for pronouncing L as R and R as L, so I was asking “What Robbery Problem” she was going not Lobbery but Loburi, it’s only when Shem mentioned “Ling” that the Satang dropped. The joys of interatcial life

I know this is a joke, but it's a hell of an official portrait... Also, inferno-proof butterfly.
  16. You should still watch the movie, it's good. Think of it as movie where some Brits went, and though derring do, landed and got some moon dirt back, but without attracting the attention of the world, or holding a parade in every settlement with a population of more than three. Why three? two to be the parade and one to watch it.
  17. There is factual correctness and outright lies. I would imagine if the Brits made a Movie about the Moon Landings originating in the UK or Henry Ford setting up his first production line in Essex the yanks would be outraged, but that is what they do rewriting history, claiming historical events were US Centric when in fact they had fuck all to do with them. Fiction movies, which have romance, action, car chases are just that, pure fiction, but when they start to rewrite history it pisses me off
  18. Factual history aside, this is very, very, good, an independent, well crafted and executed, Very non Hollywood, it is American, but is better than the usual. If you get a chance, watch it and see what a fine movie it is. Also if movies had to be factually correct they'd be documentaries and there would be no romance, action, car chase....
  19. Hollywood got slated by some for the film U571 in which they claimed to have captured the Enigma machine, now they make up an non existing “Japanese Enigma” 5 years before Japan even entered WW2. Can these Seppos just give up on making shit up and trying to rewrite history
  20. The Red Machine 2009 Set in 1935 - t the height of the Great Depression, a charming and irrepressible young thief is forced to help an icy and mysterious United States Navy spy, steal a brand new device, that the Japanese military is using to encode its top-secret messages. This is very good, an independent, well crafted and executed, Very non Hollywood, it is American, but is better than the usual. recommended
  21. I am going to answer my own question here, Thai Banks don’t like dealing with American customers or more specifically the IRS via FACTA hence the reason why US Citizens face difficulties in opening accounts here
  22. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare [2024 Movie] The British military recruits a small group of highly skilled soldiers to strike against German forces behind enemy lines during World War II. Humorous Nazi killing war fest, very loosely based around true characters in history and a book by Damien Lewis, does what is expected of it from this established director Guy Ritchie prone to entertain with some Tarantino like flair.
  23. Coma [2024 TV] A recently redundant dedicated family man’s neighborhood falls victim to the antics of a group of law-breaking teenagers. He and his wife want to move their daughter to a safer area. He confronts the leader of the group, and a split-second decision changes everything. An entertaining effective psychological thriller with two strong leads in this four-part series is worth a look.
  24. Femme [2023 Movie] Follows a drag artist, who is targeted in a horrific homophobic attack, destroying his life and career as he withdraws into himself. Sometime after that event he encounters one of his attackers, in a gay sauna. A tense and well-acted revenge porn thriller.
  25. Jimmy Carr: Natural Born Killer [2024 Movie] An iconic comedian tackles controversial issues such as gun control, religion, cancellation culture and consent through provocative humor. Mainly for fans of Carr's edgy humor, not his best work, the last half hour improves on the first 30 minutes which is pretty dire.
  26. Monkey Man [2024 Movie] An anonymous young man in India unleashes a campaign of vengeance against the corrupt leaders who murdered his mother and continue to systematically victimize the poor and powerless. An adrenalin fueled debut action fest from this director/actor lead does what it says. Worth seeing for those into the genre.
