  1. SYDNEY - A male burglar wearing a wig, dress and crotchless pants threatened a sex shop worker with stolen dildos to make his escape before he was caught, police said Sunday. Brisbane police said the 34-year-old man broke into the sex shop through the ceiling during the night, setting off an alarm inside. The female owner confronted the thief, who threw sex toys at her and escaped back through the ceiling. Police found the man on the roof and arrested him. On Sunday he was charged with breaking and entering, and drug offences. It was the second rooftop break-in to sex shops within days in Queensland. In Cairns on Thursday, a 22-year-old man was charged with stealing a Fantasy Fetish pack which included a saddle. 3. Caveat Emptor The Cancellation fee has nothing to do with Agoda but is the policy of each hotel they make reservations with on your behalf, the cancellation policy differs with different hotels but is clearly listed on the "Book It" Page http://www.agoda.com/info/agoda-faq.html Now if you are just too damn right lazy to read the small print then it is "Alfmaz Unprofessional" and not Agoda. Now why on earth anyone feels the need to make an advanced reservation in Thailand is beyond my concept given the hotel occupancy rates one is guaranteed a walk in at most places http://www2.bot.or.th/statistics/BOTWEBSTAT.aspx?reportID=624&language=ENG

    Wrong Side

But why do we drive on the Left or the Right? In the UK the reason for being on the left goes back to the middle ages, when passing someone down a trail you had to ensure that your Right Hand / Sword Hand was closets to an unknown incomer basically a defensive mechanism. Even when travel progressed from horseback to stagecoach we only had horses 2 wide and the coachman sat in the middle and could still defend his right flank. Right hand drive came from the States, again from horse drawn coaches, since America had wider trails they tended to hitch up the coaches four horses abreast, for the coachman to control / whip the horse he used his right hand and sat on the rear / lefthand horse. In order to avoid collisions coaches passed left to left i.e. coachman to coachman hence the reason why USA drives on the right. I am full of crap trivia hehe. I am the same as Radioman, flitting back and forth between Left Hand along th Drive and Right Hand Drive Countries one gets used to it, pick up a rental at an airport and not realise where one is at, it's a dead giveaway when the steering wheel is on the other side but when I want to Mainland Europe to Dutch TT's or Bol D'Or in France on my Motorcycle I had a few near misses along the way. RM Have you got used to the roundabouts in Doha? Makes Milton Keyes and Stevenage seem like amateur town planners!
  5. Flash Vietnam 2014 is a little different than it was when you were last here In some ways it reminds me of Thailand 1991 cheap as chips, less than 20 Cents US for a Pint, US$ 3.50 for a carton of cigs etc, as was mentioned in the "Inflation in Thailand" Thread it ain't cheap anymore. Non Imm "O" and home in Thailand and Work Permit / Temporary residence in Vietnam the top 2 countries in SE Asia with 61% of the vote.

They Don't In Vietnam it is called Biển Äông (East Sea) and in the Philippines it is known as "West Phillippine Sea" Just because you don't know about different countries claims to the area don't profess that you know what all the world maps say? PS For the record I am currently working and living in Vietnam and have my finger on the pulse about Vietnam / Chinese relations China has evacuated every national and meetings with my Chinese Contractor have been rescheduled for Seoul.
  7. A plush hairdressing awards ceremony descended into chaos when police were called after a guest was headbutted and violent scenes erupted. Event organiser Ruthanne Reid, 57, appears to headbutt a guest during the INAA Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow on Sunday. Video footage obtained by STV also appears to show Ms Reid storm off stage towards the crowd and strike someone with her handbag. Famous guests including The Only Way is Essex star Mark Wright and fiancé Michelle Keegan, Miss Scotland and the Lord Provost of Glasgow were in attendance. Police were called to the event at around 11.40pm after violent scenes erupted. Dundee salon owner Ashley Hutton, 37, who attended the £105-per-ticket event, said the event was badly organised and branded it "a shambles". She also claimed Ms Reid was heavily under the influence of alcohol towards the end of the night when she apparently walked on stage, grabbed the microphone and screamed at the crowd. As Ms Reid was on stage, another woman is caught on camera storming forwards before exposing her backside to Ms Reid and the audience. Mrs Hutton said: "The whole event was an absolute shambles and everyone I know who was there are totally embarrassed by the scenes. "This was meant to be a well organised, enjoyable event to celebrate our industry but it was the exact opposite. "Ruthanne was very drunk and ended up screaming at everyone in the crowd for no reason. Before that even happened you would tell people were getting annoyed and agitated because of how badly organised the ceremony was. "Then all of a sudden she stormed off stage and started swinging her bag at people and then ended up headbutting a guest. Security got involved, it was just a farce. "Miss Scotland was there and got her crown knocked off and the Lord Provost of Glasgow was there too. The whole thing was shocking and I am totally embarrassed about it. People put a lot of time and effort into the awards and paid over £100 for a tickets, but it was just a disaster. I feel let down and so do most of the guests who I've spoken to about it." A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to the Thistle Hotel at 11.40pm on Sunday. There was no complaint made and no evidence of criminality." http://news.stv.tv/west-central/277701-chaos-erupts-at-scottish-hair-and-beauty-awards-at-thistle-hotel/

  10. Mr Thaksin is accused of helping his wife, Pojaman Shinawatra, buy a plot of prime Bangkok real estate from the central bank for one third of its assessed value. The couple, who deny the charge, were not in court to hear the first day of evidence but Mr Thaksin was recently barred from leaving the country. The couple face 13 years in jail if convicted. The case is in the Supreme Court, meaning if they are convicted there is no higher court of appeal. "We are confident that our evidence will be enough to prove in the court that Thaksin and his wife are not guilty," said their lawyer Anek Khamchum. The billionaire politician has suffered legal setbacks recently. Last month three of his lawyers were jailed over the "pastry-gate" affair- an apparent attempt to bribe judges with a lunchbox stuffed with cash. Analysts see the cases as part of a giant struggle for political domination of Thailand that is being fought in the courts, in parliament and on the streets. Mr Thaksin was toppled in a bloodless coup in 2006 by royalist generals who accused him of rampant corruption, undermining democracy and insulting the revered king. Mr Thaksin went into exile in Britain. The military ruled for a year and froze £1 billion of Mr Thaksin's assets, launching several corruption investigations against him. This is the first case to reach trial but many more are pending. But Mr Thaksin is popular among the poor. When the military held elections last Christmas his supporters were returned to power and Mr Thaksin returned from exile. Both his admirers and his enemies in the metropolitan elite believe he is controlling the new government from behind the scenes. On the streets, the so called People's Alliance for Democracy has been demanding the end of the five month old government for seven weeks. The movement is believed to have powerful backing in military and royalist circles. Two other court cases on Tuesday delivered blows to the government which could lead to its dissolution. The foreign minister Noppadon Pattama, who is Mr Thaksin's former personal lawyer, was found to have broken the constitution. That judgement could open the way for the impeachment of the entire cabinet. In a separate case a leading member of the ruling party was found guilty of electoral fraud. The ruling could lead to the party's dissolution. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/thailand/2268511/Thaksin-Shinawatra-corruption-trial-begins.html
  11. I think the judge must be dyslexic and put him on the sex offenders register for being a Cycle-Pathic Pedal-Phile!
  12. Scare mongering dimethyl-amphetamine is an impurity in methamphetamine and makes the dose weaker. Usually an accidental product when methamphetamine is synthesised by methylation of amphetamine if the reaction temperature is too high or an excess of methylating agent is used. For the record I don't condone the use of synthetic narcotics, this is just basic organic chemistry.
