Nope. AFIK Madrid is owned by by the Chinese/Thai lady and family usually seated at the back. I too, know some there for 20 years.

The chap I am alluding to is known as "Uncle Will" and I believe his place was the original Executive Club. :grinyes:

Tilac, Black & White, Shadow co-owned German/Thai

Cowboy 1 & 2 co-owned Swiss/Thai

Moonshine, Jungle Jim's, Fanny's (mentioned in another post) co-owned English/Thai

I think co-ownership is a good thing if both sides are taking care of the business.

Any idea about Annies involvement with "Cowboy?" The Black Texan retired airforce guy said to have started Soi Cowboy? What ever happened to him? Know he died, but his proud legacy lives on for the rest of us!! :) We should consider making his birthday a Nanaplaza.com holiday!

You're right -- it's Chinese Thai, but, as my Chinese-Thai gf keeps telling me, the Thai-Chinese are Thai first and foremost. It's not a point I ever felt was worth arguing about with her.
