I have never seen the All Blacks playing so bad (many unforced errors etc.). I think, Oz was very lucky. However, a win is a win and the very first surprise in this tournament. May be, England would be easier to play next week (btw, why do they have a one week break between two matches?).

Hi Peter

Once a week is the way the domestic comp is played...a lot of big hits etc..need to recover and so on...to hard to play twice in a week or 10 days.

In our rugby league comp we have a 3 match series in the middle of the normal round of games and some players back up and play again after 3 or 5 days...not many play their best footy in those games after the ""main"" game.

Hey Peter.

Oz were given no chance tonight!!

They were out played...oz were more committed and hungry?

BTW a record crowd for a world cup game...82500 odd :up:

Played like go-go girls in a dance contest. Totally inspired!

:bow: :bow: :bow::up::beer::up::drunk:

A bit of luck, stirling defense (apart from a brief lapse in concentration when we planned to kick!) and tremendous support.

The barpole turning point of the game: THE intercept.

The Free Barfine Award: Stirling Mortlock.

Bring on the Frogs! :: :grinyes::neener:

Well, I called that wrong. The Wallabies were awesome, a great controlled performance. OK, so the All Blacks weren't at the party but that can't take anything away.

Looking forward to tomorrow, maybe I can get one out of two right.
