No question that cooking at home is slightly more expensive than visiting a food stall. So, maybe the meal actually costs 30-50-Bt, instead of 20-Bt, or more if she is really hungry, at the food stand. I find that it potentially benefits as follows: gives us something unusual to talk about (a farang cooking Thai?); puts the gal more at ease before the deed; and completely eliminates her seeing any 'buy me this' items at any store, which could result in less performance from her after you say....NO!
