ALHOLK
Hi! I have recently heard from a Swede that he had to go and by an onward ticket escorted by an immigration officer before he was alowed to enter. I think this is quite rare though. I have entered Thailand at least thirty times and have never been aked to show my ticket. I once asked at the Stockolm embassy and they said that a Swede is never refused entry on the grounds that he/she lack an onward ticket. I also asked an immigration officer at Don Muang once and he said that if I'm sober, properly dressed and have money the worst thin thet can happen is that I'm escorted to by a ticket just as the aforementioned Swede described. If there is a problem it will almost certainly arise at Arlanda airport. I once had a problem there because my return ticket was for 31 days after my arrival. Explaining to the brainless amateur gestapo officer at counter that the flight departs just after midnight and I will be through immigration before midnight was futile. I wasn't alowed to check in until she had checked with a representative for Tha and her boss. I also know that people have been refused to board the plane for this reason. regards ALHOLK

SingaporeSteve
If your travelling on SQ and with hand luggage only, try using the self service check in machines - that way nobody will ask you for a return ticket. Your stumped though if your flying TG or another airline as they do not have self check in machines at Changi to my knowledge. Cheers
