New Petchburi Pete
The replies/responses seems positive. Now to proceed to the next level: increase the ratio of ants/sugar ... protein/carbohydrate ... hey, this could be the latest health 'kick' for those living in LOS ... of course, we could export this concept and make some serious dough ... with ants of course! drogon
About ants in the fridge they could still be alive even after 3 hours. About food with ants or insects it already exists so the market is not open
danish30
Even I've stayed here much too long I would definitely get some new sugar. Anyway, who needs sugar in their coffee? Thats repulsive in itself Regards

New Petchburi Pete
This morning I refilled the then empty sugar bowl. I put it into the fridge right away ... I will report back if the ants somehow manage to gain entry again! BTW, I use very little sugar in my java. And cold sugar tastes about the same as room temp. Could I taste the ants? No, I didn't notice any difference.
..
Petey, you need to get some of these: It is a container that my maid bought that holds open food stuffs surrounded by a little moat. It works great in keeping the ants at bay! Wifey always puts bai magrood into the rice bucket cuz she says that it keeps away the ants. We have no ants in the rice, so maybe it does work (or the container is good enough that they cannot get it LOL). Maybe that would work for sugar too? Cheers, SD
Guest lazyphil
LoL, took me a while to figure out what bro in law had put on the stand (four of them for each leg) of the parrot cage in our garden in LoS, twas these clever little moats to keep raiding ants from the feathered friends fruit, really does the job well

ZMAN Z28
I don't get how ants get into unopened packets of noodles, like the cup of soup noodles. I couldn't see and visible openings in the packages. And I'm not up for that much protien. Z
