Old Hippie
Didn't you get any softeware/driver with the burner? I'd say use that. If not, surf the net, find the manufacturer's web sight, and try to download the driver from them...?
..
Nero is IMHO the best. But as OH said, did not the CD burner come with some thrid party software? Also, I believe XP (if you use that) has it built in. Regards, SD
kamui
Take Nero. You can't do much wrong using the built in "Nero Express". Nero 7 is just published, but it's a kind of overloaded suite meant to be a media center. Nero 6 will be fine for you. PS: Somewhere I have read that the burn function of WinXP is not very good. kamui
By the way, there is a free CD burner software available, which should do it as well: http://www.deepburner.com/ Look for the free version at the page, it's only 2,6 MB!
carlton68
Pom, I second that about Nero, use it myself (with license for Ultra edition). For your task I suggest something smaller, a freeware called burn4free. I guess your computer is a bit older and Nero is too heavy for those oldies. Carlton68 you read me right, thx for the link. I will put up with their toolbar for the short time being. As I left my last puter back in BKK, I am back on my ancient Pentium II PC. Just a little longer, in the meantime I want to save data, and reformat the HD and overclock the processor (always wanted to do that ). This computer is in the short term destined for the bin. As I dont want to put any money into a system about to die from an overheated processor I simply bought a refurbished CDRW, not that bad an option really. And in keeping with that theres no point in sinking money into software I am not sure I will want/need untill I place my new order with dell.com Thx
carlton68
Pom, sorry about the toolbar, wasn't there when I last installed burn4free in January. I checked, now there is this mandatory toolbar. Do three searches via the toolbar and then you can turn it off. Let me assure you, this toolbar is not showing up in Firefox or Opera. Lusty
I've been using the Slysoft CD clone which I got in Pantip as its so simple.I find Nero to complicated.
ALHOLK
Hi! If the CPU already is overheated it probabaly won't do much good to overclock it. regards ALHOLK
