longwoodguy74
Was wondering if anybody had any stories they'd like to share about any legendary characters they may have come across in the thai nightlife scene over the years? Can anybody think of any larger than life characters - be they BGs or Farang - who have left their mark, in one way or another, on the scene? You know, the kinds of people that inspire legends. The kinda people who are remembered long after they are gone. No need to name names, let's just hear some good stories!
Old Hippie
Well, the old Guy at Madrid...86 or something, still drinks, and pulls girls...he always says "...Thailand is great, I get older, but the girls all stay the same age...He's been around for ages...the owner of the Lone Staar, been in BKK 40+ years or something...86, weighs 300+ pounds, still enjoys a good time! In the "No Name Bar" there are Plaques on the tables inside the door, on the left...heard those guys were incredible...never met either one, maybe someone else remembers them... Suadam? chuckwoww
There were several in Chiang Mai.....Skipper and Andy both dead. Larger than life guys. And another old English bloke who's still alive, so can't mention name, who has lived in Thailand 20 years without a passport.

USVirgin
Farangman and his cohorts might be remembered for the dance contests and, in my mind, some other silly things that happened during the era. Shame that I'm talking in the past tense, but the government has not been kind to the nightlife, lately.
