Just a Guy Posted March 2, 2006 Report Share Posted March 2, 2006 Batty, I bought Call of Duty in November last year at Pan Tip and it works fine. Over the years I get a few bad cd's/DVD's but most (90%) work. I keep my computer equipment up to date though and it gets expensive. Sorry about your problem but you likely need a newer machine with a hotter graphics card. Many older graphic cards flat out won't run the new games. And thats usually only a couple of years old. It's a good thing I don't have to work for a living now. Have you tried any of the CIV IV mods yet? I like Lost Units/Wonders, but you gotta try Fall From Heaven which attempts to add D&D-like characters to CIV IV. Fall from Heaven is the most popular of the modpacks, while Lost Units/Wonders is under mod components. There are a few (hundreds) other mods so it might keep you busy for some time.
