Falang
Do I am the only one who notice that Internet censure is applied in every Internet cafe in Thailand? Every adult site are block and even the free web mail that I use when I travel is block.
ALHOLK
Hi! I use Lycos webmail and it is not blocked. It can however be extremely slow and sometimes unreachable. regards ALHOLK
cavanami
They started about one year ago here in BKK and they keep turning it up another notch every few weeks. I used to use a proxy server, but they block many of those. I see that some of the adult websites have tweeked their web addresses a little, like instead of www.eatme.com, they have www2.eatme.com, just as an example. Thailand is still more open then China, where they really have everything locked down. Just another pain in the arse ::
whosyourdaddy
yes fuck me it is getting bad. I was even looking at some safe sites and they were blocked for some reason> Before they had every angelfire site blocked including my personal one. I used to use google translate to get around the blocking but not they figured a way to block that. But the good news is that Alta Vista translating is not blocked. Not great for pictures as most wont load when you block it. But all the text will. Just put the site in and tell it to translate from chinese to English and it comes up. Nervous_Dog
<<Thailand is still more open then China, where they really have everything locked down.>> Err - hate to disagree but accessing porn is easy in China, a LOT more so than Thailand, as it is in Malaysia too. Accessing POLITICAL web sites is hard in China, but guess what, there are a number of political web sites blocked here too! DOG

Flashermac
Criticising the glorious PRC government and its policies IS porn! p.s. Depends on the ISP you have at home here. Loxinfo blocks almost everything that might have naked ladies ...
Nervous_Dog
As does true, Pron, Naked women! People Fucking etc. Was in China a few weeks ago, could acces all my favourite pron sites that are no longer available in Thailand. Would I want to go to a political website, nope, so no idea if they are blocked, but to quote the original poster <<Every adult site are block >> Which is NOT the case in China. Interesting no one mentioning the political web sites Thailand blocks! DOG
