gummigut Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 Some of the updates need a restart. For me, maybe it's about once every 2 or 3 weeks. .. Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 Same here. Always restarts the program. Never restarts the PC. Updates seem quick enough. I just watched one last night. It took about 20 seconds from the start of the download to being finished installing the update. I am now on program version 7.1.392, database version 268.6.0/342, dated 5/17/2006 at 4:45:00 PM (this is found at the bottom of the window that pops when you click on the tray icon). kamui Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 Maybe you have to change the settings for updates from update after reboot to update immediately (I don't have the excat English wording for it, since I have the German AVG version).
