carlton68
Lust, no idea other than that I updated Firefox and Thunderbird. Everything fine around here. Have you checked all the extensions? As much as I like extensions during updates of Firefox they might cause trouble. Guess you've got them up to date as well? When you suspect a firewall problem, have you tried with norton turned off? Lusty
Works fine with the firewall down.
carlton68
An idea which might not help at all: go to norton, delete all firewall rules regarding firefox. Afterwards norton has to be trained again for firefox, possibly gets it right then. If this fails at least no harm done.

short-time
Installed the latest version last night and it seems to work just fine so far. I?m using a combination of Zone Alarm, AVG and Scotty the Watch Dog for protection (all freeware) - dumped Norton long ago. ST
Lusty
Still giving me grief. Now if I try and configure the firewall, then come out of it I get the dreaded"this programme is not responding". I either have a software problem or I'm a wanker OR a combination of both!::
bibblies
Get IE instead? Firefox myths (Site with some common sense tips. I've no beef with Microsoft or FireFox but, as a developer, I just wish people'd use the same fucking browser. )
