Old Hippie Posted July 16, 2006 Report Share Posted July 16, 2006 OK, I have a B.A. degree in Documentry writing (minor in photo journalism/journalism, think it shows...or speaks volumes for the American university system) and it is not at all easy to get noticed in this field. One attempting to do so has to really shock and awe the people who will produce and market this product. Again, not a cute trick. So I assume this guy is attempting to do just that, schock and awe them... True, he comes off like a wanker with a cam corder wannabe film maker, but I would still give him a chance, and view the final work before I comment on it. It could just be the surprise we are all hoping to see... If not, I'd love to make the documentry about BKK sex/P4P etc... that we'd all love to see, but it would never be distributed, it is just not whatpeople would want to see/hear, it would go against all that is held as gospel on the topic...maybe this guy managed to weasel it passed them...I mean his comment about NGOs are valid...and rarely if ever stated/called to task. The kind of film that shows bargirls who enjoy their work, girls who left the village because they wanted to. Punters who aren't bad guys...just guys having a bit of fun away from their wives. Young guys having a laugh in a foreign country, old guys who just like having young girls around and don't mind spending money on a bit of tail............this is not the kind of film that will ever get shown. For example probably more home porn being made now than ever in history given the size of technology, easy editing programs, and no middle man (LABS, etcetera).
