For me, the ony time that I took a full pill, I had a low level throbbing of the head for a couple of hours. I didn't have this when I took half pills. I believe that those with high blood pressure are not supposed to take V because of the possibility of a stroke. I don't know of any other side effects, like dry mouth.

hi jakestevernson

i hope you didn't mind my joke on your expenses above! i just could not resist!

i am a bit older than you and still do not need viagra. but i have tried it. a quarter of one is sufficient for the expected effects, but also caused headache. it also extends the time until ejaculation. I have also tried Cialis. also a quarter of a pill. on the plus side no side effects like headache. it also lasts longer. one quarter of the pill for me is sufficient to cover a long weekend in Pattaya with multiple chicks/shags. it's just a bit overkill as you get a stiff one as soon as a girl touches you.

on the downside you need to take the pill a couple of hours before the first shag in opposite to Viagra, which effect very fast.

i still use this stuff very seldom but it might enhance a nice experience sometimes.

You are probably better off with Cialis ... most prefer it.

When it comes to Viagra, nothing beats the real thing. Unfortunately, there are knock-offs which are being sold out there. Certain pharmacies can show you the difference under ultravilolet light.

There can be side effects with any medication. With the ED drugs, headache is the most commonly reported. Also, many report visual disturbances such as a glowing or halo effect, especially with the clones. Some experience redness in the eyes which Visine can handle. One pharmacist said that daily use of Kamagra (especially) can produce gastric reflux ... ranitidine (Xanadine here) or antacids would solve that problem.

If you feel you really don't need it; but, just want to experiment, try a quarter tablet. If you like it and want more and haven't experienced unpleasant side effects (some like the halo effect ... especially in GoGo's!) take another quarter tablet (of the clones) in about 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours after the initial dose.

Unit 731, I am curious as to how one can "wake up dead." You've got me scratching my head on that one! :dunno:

jakestevernson....

My first time trying Viagra was on a trip to Thailand about a year and a half ago. I am 32 and wanted to try it out while in LOS. It did the job, and makes for a fun night ! I was travelling with 2 doctor buddies of mine, and they said the usual dose perscribed here in Canada would be 25mg. All the ones I bought in Thailand were 100mg. When puchasing Viagra at the pharmacies they will usually offer to cut the pills for you (something you might wanna take advantage of)you can also buy a pill cutter for a few dollars. Anyway I would suggest 1/3 of a pill for your first time, and maybe a half pill at most to ensure it doesnt do any harm.. Any more than 50mg was highly unadvised for any use by anyone by my doctor buddies.

They are readily available all over Thailand, seeing as there seems to be a pharmacy every 20 feet. Only more common thing in Thailand is a 7-11 every 15 feet.

have fun

What are the latest prices for viagra or equivalent? I have found the Indian version to be much cheaper and just as good as the genuine viagra. Yes, cutting the 100mg pill is preferred but I have trouble cutting it into 3 parts so I cut it in half.

In response.

I have never woken up dead yet. But have certainly come close.

And yes, the clones from a reputable pharmacy are just fine. I have never had any &`^`'s with the clones. Do count your testicles in the morning, though.

  • 4 weeks later...

Hilarious...so now we have "Vigara" and "Cilias" (and don't forget "Levtira")....and a whole bunch of "I don't need it, but....."

There's no stigma in using these pills. At the very least, there's a good chance that they will at least enhance the experience.

Enjoy....you only live once :D

Just want to know where I can pick some up in Bangkok when I arrive on the weekend.

Jakestevernson -

I purchased in Bangkok this afternoon.

Most chemist shops in Bangkok will have available.

These are mostly small shops.

Look for the sign, "Pharmacy".

Most of the pharmacists will speak sufficient English.

Even better is to print in block letters on a piece of paper "Viagra" or "Cialis", and simply show that to the pharmacist.

But I had no luck trying to buy at a large pharmacy in a major shopping mall.

When I asked there, the young woman pharmacist just giggled, "Oh, no have! No have!"

So I think a small, neighborhood, pharmacy is your best bet.

You won't need any kind of prescription at all.

The name brands are most expensive, of course, and the most likely to be "pirated" fakes.

In my opinion, the cheaper, generic alternatives are safer, because there is less temptation to fake.

Common generics of Viagra are Penagra and Caverta.

4x100mg of Caverta from a neighborhood pharmacy is 600-800 baht.

Original Viagra (or a good copy of the original) will be 2,000 for the same amount.

Common generics of Cialis are Forzest and Apcalis.

4x??mg of Apcalis is 800-1000 baht.

Original Cialis will be about double that price.

Prices will vary some.

If you are an obvious newbie you may pay more.

The longer I've lived here and get known in the neighborhood, the lower the prices for everything.

Yes, you can try to bargain at a pharmacy shop, but all the pharmacists here are Chinese-Thai.

Good luck trying to bargain with them.

You might try cutting the pill in half and trying that dose first. It could reduce the side effects such as headakes. If it doesn't meet your expections, you can always go to a full pill.
Yes, cutting the 100mg pill is preferred ...[snip]... I cut it in half.

I think this is very wise advice from dean and jon46

A pharmacist recommend that to me, also -- in Bangkok.

Think about it: Why would a pharmacist advising taking less of something he is selling?

Must be some side-effects, eh?
